Overview
The Villefond carp are growing and growing fast! There are now plenty of 40lb+ carp on the bank, with 65lb+ mirrors and commons.
Villefond is not a runs water and the carp will test your angling skills... but get your presentation right, encourage the fish to feed confidently, and you will experience some amazing and memorable carp fishing. The 8 acre lake has a very natural and intimate feel, with plenty of features to fish to.
There's an optional food package here, delivered to your swim. A very simple cabin sits tucked away on swim 8, which you can hire for a little more comfort than a bivvy. There are 6 well placed single swims and 1 double swim on the lake. If booking the lake non-exclusively then we keep a maximum of 5 anglers, which allows a bit of space and room to move if you wish during the week. There is a swim draw on arrival.
First introduced to the carp fishing public in 2008, the complex is completely secure and can be found down a little used country road in a very tranquil corner of France. Motorway links are excellent and the drive down from Calais is 6hr, or around 3hr15 from St Malo.
If targeting large carp in beautiful surroundings is your goal then it’s definitely a venue that you should visit for your carp fishing in France.

"I discovered fishing as a child, starting with roach and perch on maggots and gradually moving on to small carp and then bigger ones, always encouraged by my parents, Debbie and John. After trips to France chasing truly massive carp with friends and family, we realised owning our own lake would be a dream worth pursuing - and by sheer luck, the opportunity came along at Villefond over 10 years ago now. We're incredibly passionate about growing on our big carp and we aim to give every guest a very warm welcome."
