Carrouge Rules
Arrival: Please arrive at 12 noon (not earlier). On non-exclusive weeks a swim draw will take place at 12:30.
Departure: Please leave by 10am.
Security deposit: a security deposit of 50 euros per angler is required on arrival, to be returned at the end of the week given the facilities and provided equipment are left as found.
General rules
- Bivvies & shelters should be discreet and blend into surroundings
- Cars should be returned to parking area by facilities when not in use (swims 1 & 2 are close enough to have your vehicle behind you if you wish)
- Swimming is prohibited
- Campfires are prohibited, BBQs are allowed but must not mark the ground
- Dogs are allowed but must be on a leash and under control at all times (livestock surround the lake). Please notify us at point of booking
- Visitors are not allowed
- Anyone under 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times when fishing.
Fishing rules
- 3 rods per angler, please do not leave unsupervised at any time
- Barbless hooks only, sizes 2 to 6 minimum
- Nylon line 15lb bs minimum. Braid is prohibited, but can be used for rigs with soluable bags and combi rigs only
- Leadcore is banned
- No shelf life boilies, only fresh or frozen
- Bait boats are allowed, rowing boats are not
- Carp cradles, weigh slings and landing nets are supplied free of charge. You must not use your own (for the biosecurity of the lake)
- Tigernuts and peanuts are banned. Seeds must be cooked thoroughly before use
- All anglers must have carp care to treat hook holds etc
- It is mandatory to unhook carp in the landing net
- Fish should be removed from the water in a sling and not in the landing net
If you or a member of your party experiences any issues during your holiday, please report them immediately to the venue owner/bailiff and to Angling Lines. This allows us the opportunity to resolve the matter while you are still at the lake, in line with our holiday Terms & Conditions.
All rules are for the health of our carp and checks will be carried out. Any breach of regulations will result in immediate expulsion from the lake.
