Fullys Lake Fish
When owner Constant took over management of the lake in 2019, he estimated around 250 fish already present - all stunning mirror and fully scaled carp from singles to low 30's. For that reason the lake was christened Fullys Lake.
Constant has since implemented a carefully managed annual stocking programme:
In 2019, 90 carp from singles to the biggest at 55lb were added. Alongside this some grass carp and koi were also introduced. In 2020, a further 92 carp with some koi too, all between 10-50lb. In 2021, another 88 carp - all handpicked fully scaled, linear, big mirrors or big commons. Every year since has seen a select few more fish introduced.
So if we count the fish naturally lost over the years, we estimate approximately 565 fish present, with:
Carp:
40lb+ - around 50 fish to over 70lb
30lb+ - more than 100 fish
20lb+ - most of the rest are between 20-30lb, with just a few under
The current lake record common carp now weighs just over 77lb.
Others:
There are approximately 65 different koi and ghost carp (biggest now over 35lb), 62 grass carp from 20-50lb+ and one albino catfish in the mid twenties. There are no sturgeon in the lake.
