News from Jonchery lake
Dec 2020
Annual Draining and Netting, 15th Dec
Last week saw the annual netting of Jonchery to remove any nuisance fish and keep the balance correct. Carp are all in excellent condition with a big average size. They are held in holding ponds whilst the lake refills and they will be returned in a couple of days. Most of the holes you see in the last two photos are between 20 to 50cm deep and solid clay in the bottom. Gravel is around most margins.

14th March Week on Jonchery, 14th Mar
Anglers out at Jonchery earlier this month had an incredible week with 50 carp on the bank, including a 64lb common, 4x50's and 18x40's. A nice week's fishing in mainly sunny conditions.
Feb 2020
A great start to 2020, 11th Feb
Team Alien are at Jonchery filming some of their new boats and equipment, these are the first two fish they landed this morning and first two fish of the year. 60lb common and 50lb mirror.
Jan 2020
An Update, 27th Jan
The new season is just around the corner now, we have been working hard around the lake with swims and tree work - the trees on left hand side of peg 4 have been trimmed so there is now bait boat access under them, snags on swim 5 have been trimmed and now it is safer to fish tight.
And good news! All of the big carp that arrived in June have stayed in the lake so it's looking like a fun season.
