A New PB for owner Mehdi, 19th Sep

Laroussi owner Mehdi looking very pleased with himself and rightly so!

"I decided to have a go at Laroussi with 2 rods only. My first bite was incredible, I played the fish for 45mn, it killed my back lol. Finally in the net, I knew it was a big carp, at least 55lb... but on the scale it went 66lb! That's my new personal best!

A New Lake Record Grass Carp, 1st Aug

At 68lb this is a new lake record grass carp for Laroussi. There aren't too many grass carp left in the lake now, but this one will be staying!

Home made retention sling, 18th Jul

To retain catfish and grass carp, we decided to build our own retention sling. There is now one home made retention sling on each peg. We ask to all anglers to use those retention slings to save grass carp and catfish, so we can remove them out of the lake. Despite the covid pandemic and so not much angling, 73 grass carp (total average 46lbs!!!) and about 40 catfish have been removed so far. About 20 big grass carp weighing between 48 and 62lb have been landed and released. The target is to rebalance the lake which means: offering more food for the remaining fish stock, less competition, less stress, and a better growth. We already noticed a good growth for the remaining carp. The lake record grass carp has been broken three times in a few weeks, at 57lb, 58lb10oz, and finally 62lb3oz !
