General Comments:

Mehdi was a great host. Darran and Denis smashed Pb's with every fish landed just about. Difficult weather conditions. Fish feed in short spells.The 3 of us enjoyed the place immensely and definitely coming back next year. Fish were in mint condition. Mehdi comments : 7 good forties , 1 fifty and some lovely thirties for the smallest carp in march ! Well done, Top Irish angling. Superb dark fish. Excellent weight average.

we caught 4 big sturgeon and one carp to 35lb

we used boiles for the sturgeon but i think they take most baits and thourgly enjoy the fight that these big sturgeon give you. and the carp was caught on bread crumb dynamite stick with a boilie crush combination all fish caught on richworth tutti frutti

General Comments:

we had a great time although fishing was slow. the sturgeon fight like its for there life and boy doews it give you a bad back. we did get alot of pickups and i think this may have something to do with the resident koi pu's. come on mehdi last time you had out your traps. although mehdi's son has been rather ill and we but the koi pu's down to this, as we have been three times and only seen the odd one last time. anyway thanks for all your help as ever and sorry about the delay with the photos are kev had them on his camera. thankyou doug

General Comments:

It was a tough week - high pressure, sharp NE winds all week, the first frosts of the year and extremes of temperature between days and nights. This is a top class 'proper fishing' big fish venue. You really need to be a reasonably experienced angler to make the most of the fishing on offer. If you don't have much experience do yourself a big favour and fish on Old Oaks next door instead. Mehdi is simply the best host ever - top man!
