Laroussi is a beautiful lake, with a fantastic owner. We were on a no baitboat week, and the fish are cute, and sit out of range, also very high pressure, which made it harder.

As a booking agent you are second to none, always top end service.

General Comments:

Beautiful lake, great owner, we just picked the wrong week. Its very hard without a baitboat, as fish push out to where there's no line pressure. There is no doubt there's some big fish in laroussi.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

The week was hard, nothing worked. We did bottom baits, wafters, pop up. All colours and fake corn. Fished on gravel bars, silt, next to trees, weed. Deep water, shallows. Fish are rig shy, I would suggest fish for a bite at a time, with limited stock and no competition for food due to cats removed and any grass under 50lb the fish are free to just pick at food this time of the year.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, all clean, no cooking facilities, just shower toilet and fridge freezer, but that’s all you need.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Medhi was as we expected very friendly and helpful. Fantastic looking lake. Swims could do with some work and the road noise is from midnight to 9am.

Yes, fished with Angling Lines a few times now and never any problems

General Comments:

With a bit of work to the swims, an increase in fish stocks this will be once again a Great Lake. Mix of Ronnie rig with pop ups, fake corn popped up or critically balanced. Feed a spot with parti mix and some bollie (DNA, CC Moore, Cell etc all used during the week) from Mehdi and give it a day or two/three. The fish will come......

Were the facilities what you expected?

Second visit so knew what to expect. Took our own microwave so we could do rice etc and a gas BBQ for everything else. Loo, shower and sink all fine, large fridge freezer for food and drinks then a big chest freezer for baits etc if you need it. All clean when we arrived and left equally as clean when we departed.

Were you happy with them?

Indeed, not luxury but perfect for a week on the bank.

Yes, definitely not a runs water and you will have to work for your fish but once you are on them you will be rewarded with a good size fish for your efforts.

Yes, AL have been great, this trip was supposed to take place 3 years ago ut given everything with COVID etc they have been great in changing and keeping any additional costs to a minimum.

Love Laroussi and Mehdi, great fishing with great people and had the right weather as well :o)

Using Mehdi's partiblend with fake corn on the hair and a fake maggot as a hair stop fished using the turbo German rig size 4 hook 25lb coated braid hook link and 4 oz lead

All the facilities you need, a BIG freezer and a separate large fridge. English toilet UK Charging sockets Shower Bait sold on site (very good particles at a reasonable price) All very clean

Yes all serviceable and very clean

Yes I would, very beautiful peaceful well maintained lake

Yes, easy service to use and very helpful when any problems occur i.e. Covid

General Comments:

Mehdi and hiss wife are so welcoming and very helpful throughout our holiday. Mehdi even help me book a midweek go karting session at Le Mans so we could rest the swim for half a day which I always do when I fish a lake for a week and I definitely recommend doing. Also Le Mans is only 10-12mins away where you will find shops and food outlets and obviously the go kart track which is an awesome track and not expensive we done 3 x 10 min sessions for £42 and 3 sessions is enough. Once again you will not meet a nice most helpful bloke than Mehdi, the man's a legend. Keep up the good work and me and Neo will hopefully be back next year to hunt for that 50 or maybe a 60lb.
