Details of your catches:
9 x 40’s (49.5m, 48.5m, 42m, 42m) rest were G carp. One 52m. Total of 18 fish for six anglers.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Varying range, but to be honest a storm blew up and the big girls started to feed, that three days was productive.

General Comments:
It started as a difficult week, the fish did not appear to be up for feeding, very finiky fish, the air temp was cold and overcast but water temp felt warm to touch. Over course of week Lance had crashing fish, Andy lost four fish, they all came off. Very strange. Pete in Plage produced a 40 and two smaller fish. Chien had crashing fish but none taken by Wes. Birches had 4 x 40lb grass carp, a 30+ gc and 42m plus two smaller commons. We leave les boulet (no carp bay) free no one wants to fish that. Point did well, Johny getting runs and missing them, he refined his terminal tackle and took a mid thirty grassy, very reassuring, I think he had a 7 pound tench, then took a 48 m and next day a 52m. John took point bay and first night took a big powerful fish that found a snag to break the line on. After 3 days no banked fish, he found a storm kicked up, blew heavily right into the bay and fish went on the feed. Took a 49.5m and a 43.5 GCarp and two smaller fish. I would say everyone had to think and work hard for these captures. Sharpest hooks were best. By the way must say Craig Lancashires big common from April looked stunning, big wide fish very dark. Not seen that before, well done Craig

General Comments:
To start with mehdi brilliant as usual. Proper carp not showing or feeding so can't really complain about that as had 3 brilliant previous trips so been quite lucky. We may have done better if we had been able to keep a rig in the water long enough. Sturgeon a nightmare again although not as bad as last time it was not good with the 40 or 50 runs we had with nothing on the end from small fish. Seems early season the sturgeon are very active. It was not all trailers although odd ones may have been as mehdi thought. It was the usual all 3 lines going miles to the side then pinging off their fins sometimes you saw them roll. Also ended up not bothering hitting runs as they quickly stopped and you could feel small fish having another go picking up and dropping the bait which ended up being double 18mm this didn't deter them and was on every peg although the point was far worse. We suggested to mehdi it may be the small grasses he put in but he thinks not. At times things became so bad rods were left out usually one end of the lake or other. The sturgeon quieted down later in the week but on the Fri I was so sick of repeatedly carefully putting my rods in good positions to have them quickly done I put them in my own margin. After having six runs in a hour with nothing there I packed up fed up of it. The lads on the long bank had no problems at all on the last 2 days and one of them lost a very big mirror under the tip on a zig. We also caught a trailer which wasn't trailing loads of line line just a legal rig which had lost the lead but it was tangled in a little line. Mehdi is removing 2 more Sturgeon and is addressing problems with the lake. The weed is coming up something the lake hasn't previously had as the grass carp are now huge and on baits instead of weed. Laroussi is my favourite lake and had some previous brilliant trips and will probably still return in the future if the sturgeon go despite the most annoying frustrating trip of my life. Usually come back relaxed but I have a bad back and arthritis and am done in from the constant resetting rods especially through the night.

General Comments:
We had a lot of issues this year with fish trailing line most days rods were screaming off only to be met with nothing on the end we pulled in 6 trailers with zigs on over the week which we think were the culprits trailing such long lengths of line, still had an enjoyable week with Adie catching his PB at 48.08

Details of your catches:
I ended up there by myself on this week, and despite, high pressure and freezing easterly winds all week, I still managed to land 8 of laroussi's special prizes to 35lb
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Small amount of particles and cell hookbaits, fished several spots at the drop off to deeper water around the margins.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes as always spotlessly clean, and everything you will need for a comfortable trip.
Were you happy with them?

General Comments:
I like laroussi a lot, my kind of water, can be tricky but the fish there are stunners, I also like the fact that Mehdi has left the lake natural, no gravel swims etc. But well maintained at the same time. Can't finish without mentioning Mehdi, not a more knowledgeable and nicer man are you likely to meet, thanks for looking after me agian.
