Ragon

Ragon Facilities

This simple lakeside cabin is a true angler’s retreat - unfussy, functional and perfectly placed by the water. It provides a place for cooking, relaxing and keeping dry when the weather turns. Because of the cabins proximity to the water, it is no problem to fish at night whilst sleeping in the cabin.

Inside the Cabin

  • Living Area: A spacious, open-plan kitchen and dining area with a table, chairs, and a double sofa bed.
  • Compact Bedroom: A separate twin bedroom adjoins the main living area.
  • Heating: A wood-burning stove keeps the cabin cosy during the chillier months.

Kitchen Facilities
The kitchen is equipped with:

  • Small fridge (additional fridge/freezer available at farmhouse)
  • Worktops and sink
  • Four-ring gas stove

While there are a few basic items in the cabin, guests are encouraged to bring their own cooking utensils, plates, and cutlery.

Outdoor Space
A large veranda with a table and chairs provides a perfect spot for outdoor dining, offering beautiful views across the lake and easy access to the main swims. A BBQ is also available here.

Bathroom Facilities
Behind the main cabin is a separate small cabin containing the shower and toilet. The toilet is self-composting.

Utilities and Power
All electricity in the cabin is solar-powered, sufficient for lighting and charging phones or similar devices. For heavier charging needs (e.g. multiple bait boat batteries), mains electricity is available at the angler’s facilities on the nearby farm (2 minutes’ drive away).

Additional fridge and 120-litre chest freezer are also available at the farm.

Connectivity and Water
There is no Wi-Fi in the cabin, but we've always found good mobile signal and 3G coverage. The cabin is connected to the mains water supply, so the water is safe to drink.

Bedding and Towels
Bedding and towels are not provided. If you would like bedding made up for your arrival (for either the twin bedroom or the double sofa bed), please contact owner Chris in advance. With notice, bedding can be provided for €10 per bed.

Please bring your own towels and tea towels.

Access and Parking
The lake is reached via a good gravel track, with ample parking available beside the cabin.

All these facilities make for a seriously comfortable carp fishing in France trip.
