Monster Common Alert, 7th Apr

The scared common made his first appearance of 2018 and this massive common has now taken the lake record for a common carp at a massive 58lb 2. The picture unfortunately doesn’t do it justice but this monster common is just one feed away from the 60lb barrier. It was caught from the new cabin at night on a pear wafter.

Swim 8's New complete cabin, 25th Mar

Finally we are happy to have completed the new cabin in swim 8 . We think it looks great and will be great to fish from in abit more luxury than a bivvy.

It will be avaliable for hire at an additional small cost and saves all the hassle of packing away or setting up your bivvy especially in bad weather. It is more spacious and can sleep two. It has solar lighting and can really save on the amount of gear you have to carry out here.

In the photos the bedding isn't complete as we didn't want to put it in untill the cabin will be used.

New Cabin In Swim 8, 17th Jan

Exciting news from the lake, lots of work is being done over winter including a new waters edge cabin being built in swim 8.

The cabin is on a platform right next to the water which, for a small additional cost, means if you don't want to bring a bivvy and bed chair you don't have to. No more setting up the bivvy or breaking it down in the rain and no more stuck inside unable to stand in bad weather. Now you can hire a cabin with a bunk bed table and chairs, lighting and phone charging. Eat your breakfast in the warm whilst looking over the lake and even in bad weather enjoy your creature comforts.

The cabin is in swim 8 and approx 60m away from the lakes faculties including shower and toilets. It's not finished yet so we don't have great pictures but here are the latest ones. We are really excited for the cabin and think once finished it will be a great feature. We will keep the latest news updated with our progress, we hope to have it finished by mid February.
