Me and my friend fished an area from two different swims , kept bait going in. Bait was mainline hybrid with pink and yellow hybrid toppers . Basic knotless knot rigs with size 6 wide gapes

General Comments:

Very happy with villefond, the lake is stunning. Mark wants to be very happy with the stamp of fish and how strong they are. Every fight was a battle, playing carp for half and hour is hard work. The food package was superb , good breakfast and main meal. Already talking about next year . It's still early Friday and me and my friend have nearly 40 fish between us , so it's a good trip. Thanks to john Debbie and Mark for making us welcome. Come on next year

Absolutely out of this world. The owners are brilliant people to speak to, they will do anything to help you. The food is excellent. Best place I've ever been to. We will be returning next year.

27lber, 18lber, 17lb 12oz, 20lb 8oz, 23lb common, 23lb 6oz mirror, 18.7lb common, Arnold at 65lb 12!!! Sherman the sturgeon at 58lb!!!

Simple bottom bait rig, fishing single hook baits mainly 16mm

General Comments:

Lovely venue, home to so many big fish. Owners very helpful and give great advice about every swim. Regularly check to see if you are ok and discuss tactics if you are struggling.

Details of your catches:

Best fish 39.12lb mirror, 32.12lb mirror, 35lb cat. Lost 1 at net fishing peg 1/2 to island, not many fish in my area. Mark seemed to think biggest fish had lost about 12lb due to heavy spawning. 1 of other people on lake did land Arnold at 65.12lb. We had a very good week

Caught fish on banoffee wafters, tuna wafter, 5 to 8" hook links.

Were the facilities what you expected?

They were ok. Powerful shower good, bad lighting meaning you could not see when dark to shower etc. No 240v power to to charge batteries etc but ok

They were ok

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes if you like basic shower toilet with no power. John & Mark were very helpful, John brought ice packs for cool box each day which was very good

Villefond very nice venue but needs some tender care to bring up to date, swims could be more comfortable and power points.
