100 fish landed in 6 days and fishing days only with my 8 year old son the biggest was 46lb 4x 40's plus 10x 30's plus Rest were upper doubles ect

Fishing far margin with plenty of bait, a baitboat was handy to have

Excellent facilities fridge bait freezer and shower microwave and washing facilities

Highly recommended complex and Mark the bailiff was there for anything, he even borrowed me a second net and a spare boat battery. The walk from 7 is around 10 min to the facilities which we enjoyed on a morning for some exercise if not I'd recommend a bike so you don't disturb other angles on the lake.

General Comments:

All round brilliant place to fish, there is a basic shop 10 min away or a lidl 30 min away which we preferred.

201 carp and new lake record biggest grass carp 58lb, biggest common carp 53lb, biggest mirror carp 48lb

General Comments:

In this venue when the fish feed they really do get their heads down, great water for a bit of fun with some nice fish also, take plenty of bait. Mark and Anita are a great couple, with whom we have built a friendship up with over the years, they are both very genuine people, listen to what mark says and you will catch plenty

Details of your catches:

53 carp to 44lb, loads of mid to high 20s and a healthy splattering of 30s. Average weight was 27lb. Didn't fish at night as too hectic.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Lake boilies and pellet, bottom bait rigs.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities excellent, very clean loads of fridge and freezer space and english/EU power points for plugs.

Were you happy with them?

Lots of hand sanitiser around in the lodge and always kept clean.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Brilliant venue for runs, some very big lumps to be had if your lucky enough, very peaceful, tranquil and relaxing until your buzzers rip off. Fish show themselves regularly, but sticking to your spots and letting the fish come to you is usually the best approach. Don't be scared to go up to the other peg and fish for a few hours to move the fish on. PVA bag into the shallow end works wonders dropped by a bait boat.

Angling lines are brilliant, always helpful and accommodating

General Comments:

Brilliant fishery, brilliant bailiff and family, they cant do enough for you, will always put you on the spots, give you the best advice on rigs and baits and even hire you a bait boat to help you (call in advance to book one)

General Comments:

Mark and Anita are very friendly and helpful and nothing was to much trouble for them to make our week very special. The food package was very very good with a good variety through out the week. Marks help and advise on bait and tactics played a major part in our success. We cannot thank them enough and whatever their salary is, they deserve more
