General Comments:

Fishing was slow, Paul said it was too hot and they have had no rain or wind, but we still got a few, we had a 48 mirror, 47 mirror and few 30s and 20s

Details of your catches:

13 carp 38lbs, 36.12lbs, 34.7lbs, rest 20's, mostly over last two days. Weather awful 4" rise in lake depth over 48 hour period due to storm/rainfall. Once the lake warmed up again the fishing was very good.

Boilies tipped with fake corn or tiger nuts also tipped.

The last two days showed just what the fishing could be like, so on that basis yes, although the depth of the lake was disappointing, not as per your website. **Angling Lines note** We're sorry about this Steve, we're just checking this out. Thanks for letting us know.

General Comments:

As mentioned before the depth of the lake was a mental barrier to get over only averaging 2'3" .The fish however fought very hard and we left thinking if only we hadn't had the storm what might have been.

My party caught a total of 53 fish 5 x 40's up to 47lb and 2 Koi the biggest being 18lb

Our best tactics were very simple, fishing tight to the marginal areas using snowman presentations. We used a large amount of boilies (No Wait On Bait) CM2 and (Angling Direct) Tangee Terror

Owner Paul was a true gent, Jonchery 7 is a stunning venue and home to some stunning carp

General Comments:

Fishing slow, very stressful when leaving the rods out for the night due to the muskrat problem, did not know what would be on the end of the line a carp or muskrat, major issue with false runs and finding out bait/hair being bitten off when reeling in the next morning. No bait/hair means no chance of a bite, very frustrating. The muskrat problem has been there for a few months now and more should have been done to cure the problem.
