Tackle hire now available, 1st May

To save you taking up valuable car space tackle is available for hire at Lillypool.

It’s all top brands including Shimano, Nash, Trakker, Delkim, Waverunner, Prologic, Viper, etc.

You can hire the following; • 3 rod set-up with bait runner reels, bank sticks and bite alarms... £60 (£50 returnable deposit) • Bedchair and sleeping bag... £20 (£20 returnable deposit) • Day chair... £5 (£10 returnable deposit) • 1 man bivvy... £40 (£40 returnable deposit) • 2 man bivvy... £50 (£50 returnable deposit) • Landing nets... £10 (£10 returnable deposit) • Weigh slings and unhooking mats... Free • Viper bait boat... £85 (£100 returnable deposit) • Waverunner bait boat... £75 (75 returnable deposit).

Or, hire a full tackle set-up including bait boat for £220 (£200 returnable deposit).

We're off to a flyer!, 1st Apr

To get the 2011 season underway Lillypool opened its gates to Andy, Mark and 12yr old Ben.

When they arrived it was turning into a blistering hot day for the 9th of April, in fact it reached a high of 72f. Anyway, tea made, we made our way around the lake so they could choose their swims. They were really tired from their trip so they didn't really bother to fish until Sunday... and what a start they had... several fish landed and it looked good for a load more.

It's now Tuesday evening and with 24 fish on the bank so far they really have got off to a flyer! Young Ben has broken his PB with a 25lb common and dad Andy his with a 25.8lb common. But there was bigger and better things to come for Andy in the way of a new Lillypool lake record. Smashing his new PB by almost double, he's had a stunning 48.8lb mirror!

Ben breaks lake record, 1st Apr

Warrington's wonder! The junior lake record was smashed at Lillypool by youngster Ben Talbot aged 11 from Warrington, with a superb 34.3lb mirror. A fantastic result for him and I’m sure it won't be long before he's catching up with his dad.

The 3 angler trip had a great week 9th to 16th April and accounted for 60 carp to 48.08lb by the end of the week.
