James Armstrong Fishes Old Oaks, 10th Feb
"A early February trip to Old Oaks last week was a tough one. With very heavy frosts for the first three nights, and sunny days, it made for extremely difficult conditions.
However, after seeing some fizzing mid morning, I placed a hook bait over them with just a handful of corn and naturals. Later in the afternoon, the rod whipped round and this 51.10 brute was led into the net. My standard quick change D rig, Wide Gape and IQ fluorocarbon completing the rig mechanics.
A thoroughly enjoyable trip, many thanks to Mehdi, a really lovely venue with some huge carp!"
