The Long Common Hits 65lb, 5th Jun

Here is the new Old Oaks lake record caught this morning by Terry Morewood.

Terry's previous PB was 32lb. He had this week 20lber, 30lber,3 X 40lber up to 49lb14oz, 2 X50lb up to 53lb, 1x60lber at 65lb2oz the Long Common. Terry said earlier this week, my target of the trip is just a 40lb'er! lol

Fox Team Trip to Old Oaks, 30th Apr

Just a couple of photos from Fox's trip to Old Oaks this April, they've saved the best for the video...

'Harry Charrington has been having a dream session out at Old Oaks in France. Today he banked his biggest ever Zig Rig carp at 43lb+, a yellow Zig Aligna and foam doing the business.'

Season starts with a bang!!!, 15th Apr

What a long winter !

Work done around the lake is now completly finished.

All swims mulched for your confort.
All front pegs filed with gravel.
All overhanging and underwater snags removed from all sides of the lake ( over 700 yards)
Trees cropped to increase size of the pegs.
New home made wooden barrier on Peg 4
Track refilled with gravel
Facilities, BBQ, table and the rest of the picnic area cleaned hard.
A couple of new fish stocked as tench, grass carp, pike, catfish

Fishing now! Already many forties and fifties has been landed in the last 3 weeks and several pb's broken.

And yesterday, 14th of April, the Mighty Long Common has been out at a new lake record weight of 64lb8oz!!!

I was lucky enough to be present again to see it on the bank and what a beast ! She 's so long, very dark on the back, golden scale, huge tail and head, fight as a catfish. She's just solid.
