Details of your catches:

In the end there was 3 of us that fished it was extremely hot all week we managed 13 fish including the long common at 68.4 . We also had 3x 50s 6x 40s 2x 30s and 1 double.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

All the fish come on mainline cell boilies fishing to the far margin with wrapped baits as poisson chat was still active.

Details of your catches:

Just got back from a difficult week at Old Oaks, been fishing this venue for a few years now and knowing what was in there we was looking forward to banking a few fish. However this was soon dampened! Myself fishing swim 5 didn't have a take for the first 3 days and was feeling very frustrated as I kept beating myself up thinking was it my rigs, hot weather, chat, thunder and lightning or just one of them session's (after all that's fishing as we all know). Dave on the other hand managed to winkle out a lovely 42lb common from swim 4 but again that was the only fish we had up to Tuesday. So with a heavy heart we upped stick's and moved to swim 3 fishing swim 4, 3, 2 spreading the rods hoping to move the fish around. At first we thought our efforts had paid off as within 15 minutes of putting a bait out i was bent into a PB Mirror of 53lb 6oz, finally the dreaded blank had gone!! (and ive had a few in france) LOL. Again Dave and I fished our socks off fishing bottom baits, snowman, ronnie rigs, pop-ups you name it and yet the only other fish fell to Dave on friday and this was a 46lb 6oz Mirror. We felt beaten by Friday afternoon and decided to pack away, freshen up and we went for a few beer's down the local bar. On reflection we went to Old Oaks thinking we were going to bag about 15-25 fish but found it difficult as there was only 2 of us due to the rest of the group unable to go due to self isolating, We will return again next year as we love the venue and love Mehdi, always welcome's you with a big smile and great advice!!

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

As said previously we tried bottom baits, pop-ups, ronnie rigs and snowman all wrapped because of the chat. All 3 fish saying that came on bottom baits cell and essential cell.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, as said we have been before and the fridge, freezer and shower are all spot on.

Were you happy with them?

Yes

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes definitely, for the rest of the group it would of been their first time.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

I have done on numerous occasions

General Comments:

Had a lovely week as we always do, but be prepared, this is not a runs water but if you do get a screamer you're looking at landing something very special! On one last note, Don't turn the fridge up to number 7 (as i did because of the hot weather) as your cans of drink will explode haha
