Good weeks fishing carp in excellent condition, medhi is a top bloke leaves you to it, hope to be back soon

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Shoreline GLM with sausage oil boilies topped with pink fake corn, or 2 pieces of fake corn accounted for pretty much all the fish. Fish tight to the far margins (Along the tree line or in the holes), or put bait on regular showing fish. Most fish came during the day.

Facilities were more than adequate and clean and tidy on arrival.

Old Oaks is a lovely lake and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. The fish are awesome fighters and never know when to give up, and the stock is impressive. Medhi, the owner, is a top guy who cannot do enough to help and always on hand for advice.

Yes, very much. Hassle free service. Have used numerous times and have always had the same service.

General Comments:

A great weeks fishing after 6 years since the last trip and could not have asked for a better venue. Will definitely return to Old Oaks.

General Comments:

The week started off slowly but picked up towards the end. The fish can be hard to tempt at times but stick to tried and tested methods and don`t fish into the snags or you will lose most hooked fish.
