Details of your catches:

2 x doubles 12 x 30s 8 x 40s 2 x 50s In all - 10 fish from swim 1, 4 from swim 2, 3 from swim 3, 4 from swim 4 and 4 from swim 5.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Generally, light loose feed and single cell boilie topped with pink, fished as close as possible to far bank. Swim one fished best for most of the week as the wind was blowing down the lake in that direction. Friday all changed when wind reversed and other swims produced more.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, having fished the venue before we knew what to expect.

Were you happy with them?

Yes, improved lighting inside cabin. Good shower and toilet. Good large freezer to store bait.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes, excellent place to enjoy a weeks fishing.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Yes, first class service. Everything went as planned, from booking to ferry times and directions to venue. No problems at all, well done to Angling Lines.

General Comments:

Good to see Mehdi again, still as enthusiastic as when we first met him in 2009. Filled us in on best tactics and areas to fish. Entertained us with his casting exploits stories. Was on hand if needed but lets you get on with it. Great chap. Venue just as last time but now the fish are BIGGER!

Details of your catches:

Fished very slow 6 fish all WK, we expected a least 1 fish per day per angler, we have all been carp fishing for long time .

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Bottom baits balanced baits fished tight to snags swim 4 unfishable every fished lost in snag dangerous for fish good chance of feathered fish.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Need updating everything worked OK. Timber building needs updating. Swims need proper steps leading down to them and sleepers and gravel in them flint and mud at moment. When rained very very slippery because mud slopes wood hand rails all loose

Were you happy with them?

Shower worked OK electric fine to charge boats phone

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Need to time fishing right or could end up with camping trip instead of fishing. Swims need updating dangerous in rain because of flint and mud. Hand rails need fixing. Need to spend money on lake could be lovely need to cut all snags out of lake for safety of fish.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Angling Lines always on hand to help. Find there product excellent. But only as good as fishery owners allow them to be regarding venue

General Comments:

General Comments:

Mehdi was outstanding, the venue top notch with a excellent head of well kept fish. The water level at the venue was approx 3 feet above normal due to the heavy rain over the previous winter months, this meant peg 4/5 was slightly smaller than normal but still plenty of room and not a problem netting any fish. Access is good to and from all the pegs with no problems unloading and loading. You have to be on your rods at all times if you're fished tight to or in the snags locked up, remember the fish are very large and know where the snags and bars are. Also remember the lake rules about leaving your rod unattended. No problems with the shats and a small problem with the rats, they are coming in from the flooded field next door, however 1 call to Mehdi sorted that out. I am sorry the read the problems encountered by the next group, we had no such difficulties. I cannot understand how a venue can change in a matter of hours from being excellent to a dump??? I think I speak for the other 3 anglers as they are of the same opinion as myself. Excellent venue, top notch owner, well done Mehdi, keep up the good work. P.S to turn up at a lake and expect to catch fish as a right is asking to fail you have work for them. That's why it's called fishing not catching.
