General Comments:

We fished a bit late in year and suffered torrential rain all week when the rain stopped the fish started to feed sadly the rain spoilt what could have been a good week a very nice lake with a very helpful owner

General Comments:

Week started of very hard with lots of rain!! mehdi showed us round give us some top advice as alawys.Then left us to it .lost a few fish to snags.peg 5 seemed to be the hot peg with 16 fish coming of it .please neever eat one of mehdi chillies HOT!!!biggest fish of the week was 53lb 12oz and a lot of high 40s .Thanks for a top wweek see you in march 2013 will ad better pictures soon as we get them of camera these were of my phone

General Comments:

Second time to the venue, and Mehdis Old Oaks lake really produced the goods for us this time round. Were all exhausted after non stop action, and none of us reeled in despite this! Good to see the fish are putting on some good weight and the venue is growing up nicely. We had lots of 38-39lbs carp, and 7 of the 40s we had will be 50 this time next year. A fantastic weeks fishing.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We fished peg 3 & 4 with peg 3 boating out in front of peg 1,2 & 3 picking up lots of fish in open water. Peg 4 fishing peg 4 & 5 picking up fish in open water and tight to the far margins. We fished boilies over pellet with some hemp thrown in too.
