General Comments:

the weather was great but the water tempreture was just above freezing which made the fishing very difficult, we tried everything we knew and just managed to catch 7 fish I did think about advertising a set of secondhand fishing tackle for sale it was that bad. The lesson learnt is not to go too early. It was warming up when we left I would imagine the next group should do well.

Details of your catches:

We had 12 fish (6 each)50lb common, 40lb mirror, 7x30's and 3x20's and lost a couple. I had 27.12/34.04/32.12/33/32.14/32.10 and my cousin had 32.08/25/31.04/42.04/27.04/50.04(Big Common) Only 1 fish at night as it was very cold. Fish still not switched on properly but a great week.

As usual the far margin produced all fish. Various boilies.

Mehdi is very friendly and helpful no matter when.

We only had 12 fish for the week 5 x 40's... 4 x 30's and a couple of twenties or so. Still very cold it was -5 degrees most nights.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We used icelandic red boilies and pva bags. Not as good as the 44 carp we had out same time last year but weather was bitterly cold and fish were held up as a result of this.

Rhino 14mm Boilies, fishing at bottom of shelf, open water in front of swim 1, fishing in silt.

General Comments:

Crackin winter water, well sheltered from weather. A lot of lines which have been cut off are in and around snags needs removing!
