Having been there twice before the facilities are more than adequate

General Comments:

There's only one gripe about the venue if it's raining and you don't go prepared there's no where to prepare food in the dry. Mehdi is a fantastic host you couldn't wish to meet a nicer guy.

Snowman’s to far margin finding the right depths. All fish came in 5ft of water

We’ve been before but yes all fine. The shower was lovely and hot

Definitely, if you want to catch big carp but be prepared for a tough week

General Comments:

After a tough start it all came good with everyone catching. To catch and see the long Common was an amazing moment. Mehdi is a lovely guy and is always on hand if you need him.

We had 11 fish for the week in very tough conditions which included 7x 50’s and the biggest in the lake the long common at 82lb 3oz

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

The fish were caught on small beds of bait. We bought a sack of the house pellets that Medhi sells on site this certainly helped, as we all had this in our mix.

The facilities were as expected very clean lodge, big fridge and giant freezer and a lovely hot shower with clean toilet

We was delighted with the facilities everything you could need for a week on bank

General Comments:

Amazing big fish venue that allowed a group of mates make memories that will last forever I can’t wait go back.

Details of your catches:

Jason caught 3 grass carp and a 46lb 8oz Mirror on the 1st day and then had nothing further that week fishing in peg 5. I caught nothing until Tuesday 16th when I had a 42lb 8oz Mirror and then caught a Mirror of 40lb 8oz on Wednesday and my final fish on Thursday, which was a Mirror of 46lb. I lost a good fish on the Saturday morning just before packing up. I was fishing in peg 1.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

All fish were caught on either a A-Bait Great White wafter or a Great White snowman.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities were excellent all round.

Were you happy with them?

Very happy yes. Huge freezer for bait if required, huge fridge and the shower is excellent.

Definitely recommend and we will be back when the weather has hopefully improved!

General Comments:

The weather was very much against us. as it was bloody cold at night for the time of year (down to 1-2 degrees some nights!) plus there was a cold Northerly wind blowing most of the week. On the one day we had some warmer weather, the lake seemed to wake up with fish activity, which was pretty much non-existent when it was cold. Medhi is an absolute gent and could not be more helpful or accommodating if he tried! He obviously knows the lake like the back of his hand so definitely take heed of any advice he will willingly give if you ask. Whoever is fortunate enough to be at the lake when the weather improves for an extended period will have an amazing week I am sure!
