General Comments:

A tough week, conditions were good but the fish seemed to be preoccupied elsewhere for much of the time. But with two PBs broken and an average weight of over 45lb, it was a great holiday. As always it was a pleasure to catch up with Mehdi, and to check out his hard work on the stock pond and growing fish for the future of the fishery.

Far margin, simple pop up rigs, some where wrapped and others didn't.

General Comments:

Weather didn't do us and favour, high pressure and northern winds. But I think we had a good week considering. The chat are an issue, personally wrapped my hook baits, while others didn't feel the need. One thing with old oaks is the mystery of not knowing what's next, and how unpredictable it is! Mehdi again left us alone, but always on hand

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fishing far bank at bottom of shelf. All fish caught between 6ft - 8ft Poisson chats were a little active so most fish came to plastic yellow or orange plastic corn. Red Northern Special Pop Ups done a couple of fish and didn't get nibbled away by the Chats.
